In 2011, they applied through their Education Departments for an overseas exchange. Kristy and Chrissy were a match and so they started to communicate via email and skype from June 2011.
The teacher exchange is taking place between January - December 2012.
Kristy and Chrissy swap homes and jobs for the entire year.
Chrissy will teach Grade 2 at South Devon Elementary School.
Kristy will teach Grade K/1/2 at Brunswick South West Primary School.
This wiki was developed so the teachers can update students and their school communities about their travels and adventures along the way. It has also been designed to be used as a tool between the students at both schools.
UPDATE - April 2012
We recently found out that South Devon Elementary School is closing at the end of June. In September, the school will be merging with Alexander Gibson Memorial School to form a new school. The New School (unnamed as yet) is currently being built and is expected to be opened in January 2013.
The K/1/2 students from both schools will attend the South Devon Elementary site starting in September and the 3/4/5 students will attend Alexander Gibson Memorial School site until the New School Site is ready!

It was announced on Saturday October 20th that the new school will be called Gibson Neill Memorial Elementary School.
